Chesapeake Energy Jumps on Strong Production Outlook

Shares of Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK – Get Report) jumped close to 3% in premarket trading on Wednesday after the oil and gas company said its fourth-quarter production numbers would come in above analysts’ expectations.

The Oklahoma City-based company said in a statement that it sees production for the most recent quarter of 462,000 to 464,000 barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) per day, compared with the FactSet consensus of 448,000 BOE per day.
