FERC issues favorable EIS for Louisiana LNG project

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has released a favorable Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Calcasieu Pass LNG Project in southwest Louisiana, Kallanish Energy reports.

Public comment on the 695-page draft EIS closes on Aug. 13. A public meeting will be held Aug. 1, in Cameron, Louisiana.

The $8.5 billion project would include a new export facility and 23.4 miles of 42-inch pipeline in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. The LNG facility s being developed by Venture Global Calcasieu Pass and TransCameron Pipeline…
