Gov. Edwards targets Feb. 19 for special session

Gov. John Bel Edwards has set Feb. 19 as his target to begin a special legislative session to address the state’s fiscal cliff.

The governor tentatively plans to issue the official call Friday, Edwards’ spokesman Richard Carbo confirmed, although things could still go off the rails if negotiations with the House fall apart.
