LOGA President Transitions but Continues the Fight

It has been an absolute pleasure serving you for the past 26 years, but today, I will make public that I am transitioning out of my role as President of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association. I will be pursuing another venture to ensure that Louisiana’s oil and gas industry is celebrated and continues to prosper despite the political and economic pressures of the state. I will be succeeded by LOGA Vice President, Gifford Briggs.

Little did I know what was just to be a summer job working in Louisiana’s oil and gas industry would become my home and my life’s work. This industry has been very good to me and to many of you reading this, but for the next generation to experience the many blessings of the oil and gas industry, we must always fight to protect it. That is what I will continue to do.

I am very thankful for the support you have shown me and my family, through the good and challenging times. The transition will be made final at LOGA’s 2018 Annual Meeting in March; however, I will continue to serve LOGA as President Emeritus. I am grateful for our many years of working together, and I look forward to continuing the fight to protect our beloved industry.

Sincerely yours,

Don Briggs
Louisiana Oil and Gas Association
