Chairman of the Board
BRYAN J. HANKS was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana and graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL), now the University of Louisiana – Lafayette (ULL) in 1981. He is a Certified Professional Landman with over thirty-one years of experience in all phases of landwork, including lease acquisition, due diligence, seismic acquisition, property acquisition, project management, right-of-way acquisition, the province of negotiations and contract preparation involving over eighteen states, as well as, Alberta, Canada. He and his companies have been involved in assisting several companies as they became publicly traded, with at least four that have a current market value in excess of several billion dollars. His current company, BETA Land Services, L.L.C., contracts with over 250 brokers and is or has been involved in company acquisitions totaling over $20 Billion Dollars over fifteen states.
He is involved in several state and national professional organizations such as the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL), having been President and Landman of the Year of the Lafayette Association of Professional Landmen (LAPL), Houston Association of Professional Landmen (HAPL), West Houston Association of Professional Landmen (WHAPL), and Professional Landmen’s Association of New Orleans (PLANO). Mr. Hanks is the current chairman and has served on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association (LOGA) since 1997 and has been Chairman of LOGA’s Gulf Coast Prospect Exposition (GCPE) 3 of its 12 years of existence. He has also served on the Executive Committees of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, as well as, 2 terms on the Lafayette Petroleum Club. He is currently on the Executive Committee of the Lourdes Hospital Foundation Board and Board of Trustees for BLUEPRINT LOUISIANA.
