Abstract: Provides for wind and solar energy for public electric vehicle charging facilities.
Present law provides for rapid development of a statewide electric vehicle charging network by improving access to electric vehicle charging amenities, urging the Public Service Commission to establish an electric vehicle charging rate structure, and urging the Public Service Commission to exclude certain persons or corporations from the definition of a public utility.
Proposed law retains present law and adds a requirement that public electric vehicle charging facilities be powered by wind or solar energy and not carbon fuel based electricity
