Abstract: Provides for expedited processing fees, costs, and waiver of expedited processing fees.

Proposed law requires the dept. to charge an expedited processing fee in addition to any fees provided by law or regulation when an applicant is granted a request for expedited processing.

Proposed law provides the basis of assessing the fee based on costs incurred by the dept. and for an administrative surcharge of up to 20% of the total overtime cost.

Proposed law provides for additional mailing or delivery costs to be borne by the applicant for services beyond the dept.'s normal level of service.

Proposed law provides for a waiver of the processing fee if the need for expedited processing was caused by error, mistake, or delay of the dept.
