BATON ROUGE, LA (May 10, 2023) - Below is a statement from LOGA President Mike Moncla on the passing of longtime Baton Rouge lobbyist Jim Harris:

“A large portion of our job revolves around dealing with the media. When I first started here at LOGA, I didn’t know Mr. Jim Harris from Adam. I was very green to the political scene, and talking to the media was not my strong suit… or at least Mr. Jim thought so. He reached out to me and invited me to his office to give me a ‘media training’ session. He spent hours pitching me tough questions, giving me pointers on how to best approach the interview process. That gesture meant more to me than Mr. Jim ever knew. That level of kindness and intentionality is what you got if you knew Mr. Jim. I can’t imagine the countless others that were touched by him as well. I’m honored to have been able to call him a friend. He will be sorely missed by LOGA.”
